First thoughts: I could’ve stayed in Florence another week
So I realize there is no real way to explain the trip, just something you have to experience for yourself. I can just quickly give a broad summary but if you were thinking about going just go. Ok so we did a 10 day trip, managing to hit 2 major countries with a couple day trips sprinkled in. I have to give alot of the credit to my girl Ems who did alot of the planning so shout out to my angel of a friend.
1st Stop: Florence, Italy.
Florence was my favorite. I loved the wine, the food, the atmosphere. Over all the best food, fresh pasta, THE WINE. There were a decent amount of black people for a country like Florence, yes people stared and yall know I stare back and I fight lil kids so my guard was up when it came to having a stare down. But when aaron said ”shit let em stare, they never seen greatness before” that completely shifted my perspective but I still stared back idc. lmaoo over all I had great interactions with everyone in Florence. Loved it!
While in florence – took a day trip to Rome, Italy.
We were very ambitious and tried to do Rome in a day, while its impossible we did manage both a Vatican tour and a colosseum tour. You can take a train there, it was about an hour and half ride – Personally, Rome was beautiful such rich history and you could feel it. The Vatican was insane, don’t go to Rome and not see it. I feel like knowing what I know about Catholicism and the pope and all that just make it even more interesting. Anyway, this is a must visit if you’re in Italy.
2nd Stop: Cinque Terre, Italy.
Spent the night here, it was along our route to Nice so why not? Cinque Terre is like a cluster of 5 smaller towns up and along the coast. Soooooo beautiful, I couldn’t stop looking around at everything, anywhere you looked was views on views. Wouldn’t be surprised if I seen a mermaid here. Had dinner on the water with an insane sunset, worth the stop.
3rd Stop: Nice, South of France.
My favorite thing about South of France was the architecture. It was near the sea and kinda reminded me of like a mix of Miami and NYC except people are speaking french. While we were there we mainly took it easy and enjoyed everything it had to offer. We took a day trip to Monaco, which was absolutely amazing, it just felt rich af. Also rented a boat and sailed the Mediterranean, ended up in Antibes. Spent a little time in the port of the french riviera where Picasso spent alot of his time. Even seen the cuuuuutest lil purple jellyfish. That was my first time seeing one outside of an aquarium. Really fuckin cool.
4th Stop: Back to Italy – The Dolomites.
We made our way back to Florence and I was so happy to be back, things were cheaper and the vibes are just right here. We had another day and a half. So you know if its up to Aaron we gone find our way to the mountains one way or another. We rented a car and woke up early the next morning, set out for a 4hr roadtrip to see part of the Dolomites. As much as I complain cause I just be wanting to relax, I’m gone always support my man in doing whatever makes him happy- plus its always worth it. And mainly cause I love to explore the planet too lol.
Anyway, would I go back and do it again? yes. I would hit Florence again, but next time I go to italy I wanna go to Capri and maybe Sicily. A trip to remember, if you have any questions about transportation within Europe/Italy or about renting a car, restaurant suggestions, whatever you name it, I left the comments open. Hit me up.
